I had taken HCC MIS Insurance for my parents (father and mother) while they were in U.S of A. During their stay, I had to visit the Wellstar Ear specialist - which didn't take the HCC MIS insurance - and hence billed me for $697. I then, filed for a claim in September 2016, with all the necessary documentation along with the bill provided by wellstar. I was 32 when I was hospitalized with a bacteria infection of my blood for what had gone misdiagnosed for 2 months this summer. I then needed an emergency open heart surgery to replace a valve the bacteria had eaten away at. I had bought HCC through a broker and felt like it was a sketchy company when I purchased since I was told it was not under the Affordable Care Act. I have had similar issues as the postings on this site. After seven months of weekly phone conversations and endless communications with HCC, all claims for myself and my dependents have been denied with no hope of appeal. I have submitted my claim. call to check, they tell me to call back in 48 hrs. call back in 48 hrs. tell me to call back in 10 days. I do. They say they didn't receive it. I submit again. Call, tell me to check back in 10 days. I do. They have but need more information. I will never use or recommend this company. Went to the doctor and had some tests done thinking this insurance would cover it, well they did not. I have had to pay for all the procedures and they kept asking for information to get the claims processed, had to keep telling them I was a new patient and had no previous records to send. I have cancelled the insurance and will work with another well known company. Read more

No any attention to customers. Probably next time I'll choose a different company. I had typical case of urgent help, we visited doctor with a child after flu on Saturday, and received an answer that we need to cover everything on our own. Any contacts with customer service just provide a links on a website, nobody is able to explain the huge discrepancy between brochure and reality or explain a cancellation terms before you submit request on... After a phone call with them (with a very very rude girl on the phone) asking them if my next doctor appointment would be fully covered by them, getting the answer (with an attitude) that it definitely would be as long as I chose a doctor from the list on their website. At the doctor and asked them again, as I wouldn't go in if it wouldn't be covered by the insurance, the doctor assistant called HCCMIS again to be sure, and they told her as well... Read more

This is a Ponzi scheme- classic definition of thieves. They should be investigated.

This is the worst insurance company ever. All they want is your money in the name of premium and they will reject every bill /claim sent to them for some or other reason.. Read more

Danger, Red Alert, Do not even consider buying any kind of service from these scammers. Before even considering buying this service I called their customer service number to make sure I would quilify for coverage. They ask on their questionnaire about certain things that would be considered pre-existing conditions. I went to hospital a few weeks before signing up for insurance for chest pain, turned out that it was just acid reflex (heartburn)... Read more
